This may be Ms Brower's first novel, but she writes like a seasoned pro of the murder mystery genre. Her Florida settings are dead-on accurate, dialogues are convincing --- arch and amusing when the character should be, while others are gruff and tough. The plot is believable, fast-paced and always page-turningly exciting. Fans of warmer climes will appreciate Brower's peeks into various neighborhoods and areas. She speaks with the voice of a knowlng local.
I really loved the characters in this book and it was a fast read. I couldn't put it down until I found out what happens in the end. ENJOY!!
Hated this book to end
The well-drawn South Florida locale along with bits of backstabbing Broadway goings-on.... Saucy shenanigans in rehab leading to a little bit of murder…. What’s not to love about this book? I really got a kick out of Rehab is Murder and I’ll be eagerly awaiting another from Ms. Brower.
This is a great summer read. It's fun, sophisticated and will keep you entertained with it's snappy dialog and complicated relationships. I love mysteries and Rehab Is Murder has a light hand when it comes to gore, which I feel many suspense books take too far. Lastly, the author does an excellent job detailing the novel's sense of place in Southern Florida. Her sure voice tells you she's a seasoned local. I recommend!

"Rehab Is Murder" is a first-rate account of how a woman's struggle with alcoholism can have a happy ending. Helen Brower's writing is rich in humor and character detail. As a bonus, her book features charming descriptions of the real-life town of Delray Beach, Florida. Readers who buy this book are in for a treat.
